Ankara: The foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Trkiye held a session of political talks in the Turkish capital, Ankara. The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while Musa Kulaklikaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, headed the Turkish side.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields including political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural domains. Both countries explored the idea of establishing the Omani-Turkish Coordination Council, which aims to improve coordination and consultation, and strengthen partnerships in commercial, economic, investment, health, and tourism sectors. The talks also addressed regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and promote stability.
The session saw the participation of Munther Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry; Saif Rashid Al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Trkiye; along with other officials from both nations.
