Muscat: The first round of Political Consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kenya was held today in Muscat. The session marked a significant step in strengthening the diplomatic relations between the two nations.
According to Oman News Agency, the Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs. The Kenyan side was represented by Dr. Abraham Korir Sing’Oei, Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for trade and investment exchanges.
The session also included a review of regional issues of mutual interest, aiming to foster cooperation in addressing them. The Omani delegation included Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Balushi, Head of the Africa Department at the Foreign Ministry. The Kenyan delegation comprised Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, Principal Secretary at the State Department for Investment Promotion of the M
inistry of Investments, Trade and Industry, Shadrack Mwadime, Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, and Abdi Adan Korio, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Sultanate of Oman.
