Oman and Cuba Forge Health Cooperation Agreement

Geneva: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cuba have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) focused on health and medical sciences. This agreement, signed during the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, aims to strengthen cooperation, share expertise, and improve health systems in both nations.

According to Oman News Agency, the MoC was signed by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health of Oman, and Dr. Jos© Angel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health of Cuba. The agreement outlines initiatives for exchanging medical personnel, conducting specialized training programs, and engaging in joint research efforts in the fields of medicine and health sciences.

The signing of the memorandum underscores a commitment to utilize the capabilities and opportunities available to both countries in a comprehensive manner. The collaboration is expected to yield significant benefits in the enhancement of health systems and medical practices in Oman and Cuba.
