Oman Air Launches Muscat-Abu Dhabi Service, Starting 9 July

Oman: Oman Air has announced the launch of a new direct service between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, further strengthening connectivity within the GCC and expanding the airline's regional network. Operating once daily, the service, which starts from 9 July 2026, will provide guests with convenient travel between the two capitals while offering seamless onward connections through one of the region's leading aviation hubs.

According to Oman News Agency, the addition of Abu Dhabi marks Oman Air's 49th destination and its tenth destination within the GCC, reinforcing the airline's commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, tourism, trade, and investment across the region.

Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, stated that Abu Dhabi is a strategic addition to the airline's network due to its significance as a regional business and travel hub. This move is expected to strengthen the connectivity ecosystem that benefits both Oman and the wider GCC. Korfiatis emphasized the airline's focus on optimizing and growing its network by adding destinations that offer long-term value for guests, support tourism and trade, and contribute to Oman's broader economic goals.

Abu Dhabi joins a list of new destinations for Oman Air this year, including Taif, launched in January, as well as Singapore, Tashkent, Sochi, and the first direct Dubai-Salalah service, set to begin in July.
