National Road Safety Committee Reviews Accident Indicators, Awareness Efforts

Muscat: The National Committee for Road Safety held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Lt. General Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the Committee.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting reviewed the fourth edition of the Traffic Safety Competition, traffic indicators and statistics, awareness efforts, and the measurement of objectives and initiatives aimed at reducing traffic accidents. The discussions focused on evaluating the current strategies and determining the success in achieving the committee's objectives.

The Committee stressed the importance of enhancing partnerships among relevant authorities and coordinating efforts in awareness and oversight. It acknowledged the institutional and community efforts, alongside the commitment of citizens and residents to traffic rules and regulations, contributing to the goal of traffic safety.
