National Aviation Strategy 2040 Approved by Civil Aviation Authority

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority today approved the National Aviation Strategy 2040, as part of its celebration of International Civil Aviation Day. This took place in a ceremony held in Muscat Governorate under the patronage of Sheikh Al Fadhl Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, in the presence of some strategic partners in the civil aviation sector.

According to Oman News Agency, during the event, the chief guest launched the logo of the strategy. This launch represents a prominent strategic milestone in the journey of developing the aviation sector across several key areas. These include legislation and governance, airport infrastructure, safety and security, air navigation services, business development and investment, general aviation and drones, national competency development, in addition to sustainability and innovation.

The ceremony included the screening of a film titled “Beyond the Flight,” which highlights the integration between the various divisions of the Authority and showcases the technical, operational, and regulatory efforts undertaken by specialized teams to ensure a safe journey from the moment of take-off until landing.
