Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "MSX 30" index closed today at 7,091.30 points, reflecting a decline of 61.1 points, or 0.85 percent, from its previous close of 7,152.35 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value witnessed a significant surge, reaching RO 38,645,581. This marks a 110 percent increase from the RO 18,399,807 recorded in the last trading session. Despite the rise in trading activity, market capitalization dropped by 0.644 percent to approximately RO 37.08 billion.

In terms of non-Omani investor activity, purchases amounted to RO 5.121 million, accounting for 13.25 percent of the total trading value. Conversely, sales by non-Omani investors reached RO 9.769 million, or 25.28 percent of the total. This resulted in a net decrease in non-Omani investment by RO 4.648 million, or 12.03 percent.
