Muscat: Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) main index closed lower today, dropping 1.32 percent. The MSX 30 Index concluded the trading session at 6,246.50 points, registering a drop of 83.8 points from the previous close of 6,330.27 points.

According to Oman News Agency, total trading turnover reached RO 42,888,934, reflecting a rise of 2.8 percent compared to the previous session's value of RO 41,740,272. The MSX market report noted that the overall market capitalization went down by 0.548 percent from the last trading day to approximately RO 33.33 billion.

The trading activity of non-Omani investors saw purchases worth RO 5,435,000, representing 12.67 percent of the total market activity. Their sales amounted to RO 4,533,000, accounting for 10.57 percent. This resulted in a net investment inflow of RO 902,000 from non-Omani investors, marking a rise of 2.10 percent.
