Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "MSX 30" index today closed at 7,605.90 points, marking a decrease of 25.6 points, or 0.336 percent, from the previous session's close of 7,631.51 points.
According to Oman News Agency, the trading value stood at RO 39,799,702, which represents a decline of 9.6 percent from the RO 44,033,103 recorded in the last session. This drop reflects a significant change in investor activity.
Market capitalization also saw a decrease, dropping by 0.108 percent from the previous trading day to approximately RO 38.97 billion. This shift indicates a slight contraction in the overall market value.
Non-Omani investors were active in the market, recording purchases worth RO 4.725 million, which accounted for 11.87 percent of the total trading value. However, their sales reached RO 5.485 million, or 13.78 percent, leading to a net decrease in non-Omani investment by RO 760 thousand, or 1.91 percent.
