Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) "MSX 30" index today experienced an uptick, closing at 7,395.55 points. This marks an increase of 27.6 points, or 0.37 percent, from the previous session's close of 7,367.94 points.
According to Oman News Agency, the trading value witnessed a decline, amounting to RO 46,385,472, a reduction of 19.68 percent compared to RO 57,748,904 recorded in the last session. Despite the drop in trading value, market capitalization saw a slight increase of 0.222 percent from the previous trading day, reaching approximately RO 37.91 billion.
Non-Omani investors played a significant role in the market movements today, with purchases totaling RO 4.777 million, accounting for 10.30 percent of the total trading value. However, their sales reached RO 5.001 million, or 10.78 percent of the trading value, leading to a net decrease in non-Omani investment by RO 224 thousand, or 0.48 percent.
