Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "MSX 30" index today closed at 7,607.04 points, marking a slight drop of 3.96 points, or 0.05 percent, from the previous session's close of 7,611 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value for the day stood at RO 49,978,322, reflecting a decline of 6.37 percent from the RO 53,377,138 recorded during the last session. Despite the downturn in trading value, the market capitalization witnessed a marginal increase of 0.024 percent, reaching approximately RO 38.89 billion.

Additionally, the report highlighted the activities of non-Omani investors, who made purchases worth RO 6.567 million, which accounted for 13.14 percent of the total trading value. Their sales amounted to RO 6.494 million, representing 12.99 percent. This resulted in a net increase in non-Omani investment by RO 73 thousand, or 0.15 percent.
