Military and Security Services Medical City Commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Muscat: The Medical City for Military and Security Services: The Medical City for Military and Security Services organized a ceremony today to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on December 3. The event was conducted under the auspices of Brigadier Dr. Nasser bin Salim Al Hinai, the Director General of Medical Services for Military and Security Services and Acting Director General of the Medical City for Military and Security Services Hospital – Al Khoudh.

According to Oman News Agency, the event took place at the Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Center at the Medical City. It began with a speech from the chief guest, who expressed pride and appreciation for the contributions of people with disabilities, particularly those who are retired personnel from the Ministry of Defense and the Sultan’s Armed Forces. He highlighted their inspirational journey and their role as exemplars of determination and persistence, wishing them continued success and happiness.

Following the speech, the chief guest, along with other attendees, toured an exhibition featuring recreational, cultural, and sports activities. The event also included the inauguration of the Hydrotherapy Unit affiliated with the Al Amal Center for Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Concluding the event, the chief guest honored the participants and organizers of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. There was also recognition for the distinguished personnel from the Medical City, specialists involved in the ‘Sail Freely’ World Sailing Championship, and the Oman LNG Company for its support of the Al Amal Center’s initiatives.
