Mahda: The Mahda Science and Innovation Club was inaugurated today in the Wilayat of Mahda, Al Buraimi Governorate, serving as a scientific incubator for students and a platform to unleash their creative potential while enhancing their skills across various fields. The club was established with support from OQ.
According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, in the presence of Sheikh Saif Abdullah Al Maamari, Wali of Mahda, alongside several officials.
Awad Mohammed Al Hinai, Head of the Innovation and Science Olympiad Department at the General Directorate of Education in Al Buraimi Governorate, stated that the club features multiple specialized facilities and laboratories equipped with the latest technologies and modern scientific tools. These include an innovation hall, a robotics and artificial intelligence hall, a multipurpose hall, and a “Young Inventor” hall.
The club also houses an innovation and experimentation space, along with educational workshops supervised by a qualified team of teachers and trainers from the Al Buraimi Science and Innovation Center under the Directorate of Education.
He added that the club will host diverse programs and initiatives, with training halls already activated to conduct workshops on Microbit programming, Sumo robotics, drones, and electronics, in addition to an exhibition for scientific innovations.
