Ibri Public Park Project Awarded with Over RO 5 Million Investment

Muscat: The contract for implementing the Ibri Public Park project in the Governorate of Al Dhahirah was signed today, with an investment exceeding RO 5 million. This groundbreaking project represents the first of its kind in the governorate in terms of scale and comprehensiveness, spanning 200,000 square meters with a 20-month implementation period.

According to Oman News Agency, the park is strategically located in central Ibri, following comprehensive studies of population needs. The project reflects the Al Dhahirah Governorate’s vision to develop recreational and urban projects within residential areas near city centers, in alignment with Ibri’s structural masterplan.

Designed to meet high standards of quality and sustainability, the park will include health walking trails, extensive green spaces, artificial lakes and fountains, and dedicated children’s play areas, along with shaded rest areas and seating.

The multifaceted development will feature a multipurpose seasonal events plaza and an open-air amphitheater with a capacity of 600 people. It will also offer specialized activity zones for equestrian sports, ATV biking, skating, rock climbing, and ziplining. Furthermore, there will be dedicated football and tennis courts, a commercial area, architectural elements showcasing Omani design aesthetics, a restaurant and caf© precinct, more than 700 parking spaces, and comprehensive service facilities.
