HM The Sultan to Visit French Republic for Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on an official visit to the French Republic the day after tomorrow (Sunday).

According to Oman News Agency, this announcement was made today by the Diwan of the Royal Court, emphasizing that the visit is a response to an invitation from President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic. His Majesty's visit, scheduled from 28 to 29 June 2026, aims to bolster the existing cooperation between Oman and France across multiple fields, fostering mutual interests and aspirations. It also serves as an opportunity for both nations to engage in consultations and coordination on regional and international developments.

Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan is a high-level delegation that includes key figures such as His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court. The delegation also comprises Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; and Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, among others. These officials signify the importance and the comprehensive nature of the discussions expected to take place during the visit, focusing on commerce, industry, investment, and diplomatic relations.
