HM The Sultan Hosts Iraqi Prime Minister at Al Hosn Palace

Salalah: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an audience at Al Hosn Palace for Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq. This meeting occurred during the Iraqi Prime Minister’s official two-day visit to Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, the session focused on enhancing cooperation between Oman and Iraq, with particular attention to energy and investment sectors. Discussions were aimed at fostering partnerships that benefit both nations’ citizens.

The Omani delegation included Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said and several key ministers such as Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, among others. From Iraq, Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Fuad Hussein and Minister of Oil Eng. Hayan Abdul Ghani were present, alongside other high-ranking officials.

The Prime Minister of Iraq was welcomed to Oman earlier in the day at Salalah’s private airport by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said and other distinguished figures. The reception included the playing of Iraq’s national anthem, signifying the importance of the visit.
