HM The Sultan Holds Talks with President of Botswana

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received President Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana at Al Barakah Palace today, marking the start of the President's working visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty the Sultan extended a warm welcome to President Boko and his delegation, expressing hopes for a productive visit. President Boko conveyed his pleasure at visiting the Sultanate, highlighting the significance of this diplomatic engagement.

The official talks, chaired by His Majesty the Sultan and President Boko, focused on exploring potential areas of cooperation to foster mutual interests. The discussions aimed to enhance collaboration across various sectors between Oman and Botswana.

The Omani delegation included key officials such as HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance. Other notable attendees were Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, and Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, among others.

From the Botswana side, the talks were attended by the Head of Military Intelligence Adviser to the President on Military Affairs, the Minister of Presidential Investments, and the Special Representative of the President, along with several officials. President Boko arrived in Oman last night and was welcomed at Muscat International Airport by the Chairman of Oman Investment Authority and other dignitaries.
