Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to President Nangolo Mbumba of the Republic of Namibia on the death of former president of Namibia Sam Nujoma. In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his heartfelt condolences to President Mbumba, the deceased’s family and the people of Namibia.

According to Oman News Agency, the message from His Majesty reflects the strong ties and mutual respect between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Namibia. The late Sam Nujoma was a prominent figure in Namibia’s history, having served as the founding president from 1990 to 2005.
