Algiers: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed from Algiers this evening, concluding a two-day state visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. President Abdelamdjid Tebboune of Algeria led the farewell ceremony at Houari Boumediene International Airport.
According to Oman News Agency, upon arrival at the airport, His Majesty Sultan Haitham and President Tebboune ascended the dais as the Royal anthem of Oman and the national anthem of Algeria were played. His Majesty then shook hands with the members of the farewell party from the Algerian side and personnel from the Omani Embassy in Algeria. In return, President Tebboune greeted the members of the Omani official delegation.
Before his departure, His Majesty Sultan Haitham sent a cable of thanks to President Tebboune, expressing sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended during his visit. His Majesty commended the outcomes of his meeting with the Algerian President, highlighting it as an opportunity to enhance cooperation and further strengthen the distinguished relations between the two nations in various areas, benefiting both peoples.
In his message, His Majesty wished President Tebboune success and expressed hopes for further progress and prosperity for the Algerian people.
