A’dhahirah: Her Highness the Honorable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, visited A’Dhahirah Governorate this afternoon. Her visit included a comprehensive exhibition at Al Muhallab bin Abi Sufrah Hall, highlighting governmental, community, and student-led projects in various fields such as applied sciences, economics, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation. The exhibition underscored the importance of community involvement in sustainable development.
According to Oman News Agency, Her Highness received a briefing from Najeeb bin Ali Al Rowas, Governor of A’Dhahirah, on the governorate’s strategic vision and completed projects. She listened to presentations detailing ongoing initiatives and future developmental opportunities. Visual presentations from entities like A’Dhahirah National Company, the Ibri Charity Team, and Al Wafa Social Center emphasized key developmental indicators and prospects for the region.
Her Highness met with a distinguished delegation of women’s representatives from A’Dhahirah Governorate. The meeting was warm and reflected the profound esteem in which she is held by the local community. Her visit also included a tour of the historic Ibri Fort, where she explored its architectural and historical landmarks and a special exhibition showcasing initiatives from various sectors, including products from productive families and women entrepreneurs. The exhibition highlighted archaeological artifacts from the Bat site and traditional crafts portraying A’Dhahirah’s rich heritage.
Her Highness praised the fort’s heritage value, stressing its preservation as a cultural and tourist site that educates future generations about Ibri’s history. Following the tour, Governor Najeeb bin Ali Al Rowas presented her with a commemorative gift, to which she graciously responded with a commemorative note.
This visit is part of Her Highness’s ongoing tour across Oman’s governorates, illustrating her commitment to empowering women and youth, fostering sustainable development partnerships, and engaging with community-led projects under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
