Fourth GCC Youth Forum Begins in Salalah

Muscat: The fourth GCC Youth Forum began today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. The 5-day event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and aims to introduce successful experiences and practices in the digital content industry across GCC states.

According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality. The forum seeks to develop the skills of young entrepreneurs in planning and the development of youth initiatives in line with methodological principles. It also aims to explore collaborative initiatives undertaken by Gulf youth that can be implemented through the GCC Secretariat General.

The event commenced with a workshop focusing on the theme of soft power and its role in shifting from mere observation of culture to generating influence. The workshop also emphasized the role of content creators in shaping social images and converting local identity into appealing content.

Additionally, the forum is designed to enable youth to acquire essential knowledge and skills necessary for planning, managing, and implementing initiatives, further contributing to the development of young entrepreneurs within the region.
