Foreign Minister Engages with Global Honorary Consuls in Salalah

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, convened with several Honorary Consuls of the Sultanate of Oman in the Wilayat of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate. The gathering included consuls from various countries and cities worldwide, focusing on strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation with Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting underscored the critical role of honorary consuls in fostering economic and commercial partnerships, as well as cultural and scientific exchanges. The Foreign Minister emphasized the significance of continuous engagement with the consuls, leveraging their networks and expertise to enhance human and civilizational communication between different peoples and cultures.

An introductory program was organized by the Foreign Ministry to showcase the Dhofar Governorate's capabilities and opportunities in various sectors to the honorary consuls. The event was attended by notable consuls such as Boleta Senkiene from Lithuania, Eng. Ivo Vanek from the Czech Republic, Francesco Palau from Milan, Italy, among others.

Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al Muselhi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, also attended the meeting, contributing to the discussions on potential collaborations and partnerships.
