Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received a phone call from Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to discuss regional developments and bilateral cooperation. According to Oman News Agency, during the conversation, the ministers explored various areas of bilateral cooperation and discussed the development of strategic economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Key focus areas included energy, transport, supply chains, and related industries, aiming to enhance mutual interests and expand the existing partnership. The discussion also covered current regional and international developments, with particular attention on diplomatic efforts for the resumption of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Both ministers stressed the importance of practical approaches to ensure uninterrupted security and freedom of navigation. They emphasized safeguarding the regular movement of trade and energy tankers in line with international law, aiming to foster positive cooperation, peaceful coexistence, and good neighborliness among all gulf littoral states.
