Muscat: The first women's football festival launched today in Dhofar Governorate, organized by the Women's Football Committee of Oman Football Association, with the participation of 80 female students aged between 12 and 14 years old.
According to Oman News Agency, the festival aims to raise awareness of women's football among girls and introduce the benefits and positive aspects associated with playing football, including promoting physical activity, fostering teamwork spirit, and building self-confidence. It also seeks to provide a stimulating sports environment that encourages girls to experience and enjoy football.
The festival includes a range of interactive football activities and drills tailored to the target age group. These activities focus on introducing participants to the basic skills of the game, strengthening girls' connection to football, and encouraging them to continue practicing it in the future.
