According to Oman News Agency, the center's inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Yousef Salim Al Hinai, Head of the Government Communication and Performance Unit at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers. Brigadier Jamal Said Al Taie, Director of Financial Affairs at the Royal Oman Police, explained that the opening of the first automated vehicle inspection station came as an initiative by the Royal Oman Police to create opportunities for the private sector to provide this service and invest in this field. He noted that the Royal Oman Police has signed an agreement with Al Maha Technical Inspection Company to establish twelve additional stations and has also signed similar agreements with other private sector companies. Additional services beyond technical inspection will be made available through the private sector in the future.

He noted that the company is expanding its service portfolio by opening new branches and technical inspection centers across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, aiming to facilitate customer access to its services and broaden the reach of these services nationwide.
Al Maha Technical Inspection Company is currently constructing five centers, with two located in Al Maabilah South and Al Amerat in Muscat Governorate, one in Nizwa in A'Dakhiliyah Governorate, one in Salalah in Dhofar Governorate, and two in Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate. These centers will offer additional services, including ownership transfer processing and inspections conducted in accordance with the specifications approved by the Directorate General of Traffic at the Royal Oman Police, as well as international standards applicable to vehicles operating in the Sultanate of Oman. The centers will also provide a vehicle pickup and delivery service for customers who wish to have their vehicles inspected, staffed and managed entirely by Omani technicians and administrators.
Brigadier Eng. Ali Saleem Al Falahi, Director General of Traffic at the Royal Oman Police, stated that the first dedicated vehicle technical inspection station has been designed to the highest modern technical standards. The facility is equipped to conduct comprehensive safety and technical efficiency tests within a single, integrated location, utilizing advanced electronic systems that manage the entire inspection process, from test administration to certificate issuance. The system automatically transmits inspection results directly to the Directorate General of Traffic, ensuring seamless data integration and operational efficiency.
The station's administrative building is thoughtfully designed to support smooth service delivery, featuring a dedicated reception and customer service hall, operations and management offices, and a fully equipped control and monitoring room. It comprises integrated technical inspection lanes specifically configured to verify the integrity of all essential vehicle components.
The establishment of Al Maha Technical Inspection Company is the outcome of a strategic partnership between Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company and the Royal Oman Police, aimed at delivering advanced technical inspection services in accordance with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety, thereby contributing to the enhancement of road safety and the elevation of services provided to the community.
