Sohar: The final rounds of the 7th edition of the "Reading Star" competition, organized by the Directorate General of Education in North Al Batinah Governorate, began today at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Library in Sohar. More than 280 participants from various age groups are taking part in the competition.

According to Oman News Agency, the final rounds will continue until 9 February 2026. A specialized jury will oversee the evaluation criteria, which focus on the rate of reading, the accuracy of documentation, the diversity of reading topics, speaking skills and voice clarity.
