Paris:European stock indices opened higher today as investors showed a willingness to take on more risk, even as data revealed a slowdown in inflation and consumption in France, which tempered market gains.
According to Oman News Agency, the CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange experienced a modest rise of 0.21 percent. The DAX index in Frankfurt saw a more significant increase of 0.69 percent.
In London, the FTSE 100 index advanced by 0.79 percent, while in Milan, Italy's MIB index edged up 0.11 percent to reach 51,861 points.
