Economy Ministry Organizes Workshop on National Circular Economy Project in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Economy is organizing the third workshop of its kind on the National Circular Economy Project in the Sultanate of Oman. The two-day workshop, which kicked off today, aims to review Oman’s circular economy roadmap and identify the key policies needed.

According to Oman News Agency, the workshop on its first day explored the developments of the circular economy project in Oman. The participants took note of the observations made by the authorities concerned about baseline outcomes achieved so far.

The workshop also featured presentations on modelling scenarios regarding the application of circular economy strategies and policies. It reviewed existing initiatives and projects in this field in Oman, with participation from representatives of government departments, private sector establishments, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

As part of the programme, participants will engage in panel discussions to identify the main policies, stakeholders, and partners involved in implementing the circular economy roadmap. The workshop brings together experts, specialists, and representatives from the public, private, and academic sectors.
