Consumer Protection Authority Hosts Second Quality Forum Highlighting ISO Certification

Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority today organized the ‘Second Quality Forum’ in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit. The event focused on the Authority’s initiatives in applying quality standards and fostering continuous improvement practices.

According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Hamad Mohammed Al Dhawyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority. The forum was strategically scheduled to coincide with World Quality Week, under the theme ‘Quality: Think Differently.’

The forum featured three working papers discussing the concept of ‘smart quality’ and highlighted the achievements of the ‘Injaz’ digital platform. Attendees were also treated to a visual presentation demonstrating the Consumer Protection Authority’s implementation of a standard quality management system.

A significant announcement during the forum was the attainment of the ISO ‘9001:2015’ Certification by the Authority’s branches across Oman’s governorates. This international accreditation underscores the Authority’s dedication to efficient quality management and the enhancement of institutional performance.
