Muscat: Maj. Gen Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, welcomed Amr Moussa, Former Secretary General of the Arab League, at Bait Al Falaj Camp today. The meeting focused on various academic collaborations and interests. Brigadier Nasser Abdullah Al Qutabi, Head of the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies, and Commodore Khalid Amer Al Salti, Director General for Studies and Academic Affairs at the Academy, were also present at the meeting.
According to Oman News Agency, the National Defence College (NDC) hosted a dialogue session with Amr Moussa, where significant discussions took place regarding regional and international issues. The session emphasized strategic matters in the context of recent changes and their implications for the Arab Nation, particularly focusing on the Sultanate of Oman.
The session also highlighted the Arab League’s ongoing role in addressing a variety of issues. The event was attended by key figures including Maj. Gen Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College, and several senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces. Additionally, senior retired officers and invitees from the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Information participated in the discussions.
