Arab Forum for Professional Qualification, Accreditation in Muscat Begins

Muscat: The 6th Arab Forum for Professional Qualification and Accreditation commenced today in Muscat, focusing on the theme “Towards Sustainable Professionalism and Accredited Standards.”

According to Oman News Agency, the forum’s opening was presided over by Dr. Mahad bin Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour. The event witnessed participation from various officials representing both the public and private sectors in the engineering field, including delegates from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

This year’s forum aims to enhance the system of professional accreditation and qualification by adopting best international practices and standards. It seeks to promote integration among Arab bodies and unions in the engineering sector. The forum will also address digital transformations by exploring the role of artificial intelligence and future skills for engineers. Additionally, it aims to support continuous professional development programs that align with labor market demands.
