Al Buraimi Governorate Explores Natural Resource Investment to Enhance Tourism and Services

Al Buraimi: The Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate convened to deliberate on various developmental and service-oriented topics, focusing primarily on the investment in natural resources to enhance ecotourism and the progress of key infrastructure projects within the governorate. The meeting, chaired by Sayyid Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi and Chairman of the Council, emphasized the strategic importance of these initiatives.

According to Oman News Agency, visual presentations showcased during the meeting outlined the potential environmental investment opportunities, highlighting the significance of utilizing natural assets to bolster sustainable tourism in the region. The council reviewed the accomplishments of the Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in Al Buraimi for the year 2024, underscoring progress made in this sector.

The council also received updates on the ongoing consultancy study for the rainwater drainage project in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi, which is being executed by a specialized company. The significance of upgrading the drainage system was stressed, aimed at protecting public property and reducing risks associated with rainfall.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Municipal Council discussed plans for the Recreational Centre in Al Buraimi, which is set to offer facilities for all community segments, thereby improving the quality of life and attracting tourists both locally and from outside the governorate. These initiatives are expected to foster opportunities for small and medium enterprises, create jobs for local residents, stimulate the local economy, and benefit the community as a whole.
