Muscat: Omani author Ahmed Al Harthy has released a new poetry collection titled "I Am Not Other Than Myself," published by Dar Nather. The 176-page volume, issued in medium format, opens onto multiple human dimensions through a poetic lens.
According to Oman News Agency, the collection weaves together intersecting landscapes and human relationships, drawing on the author's far-reaching memory shaped by years of experience across several countries. Al Harthy employs a condensed, layered language that invites multiple interpretations and reflects a poetic voice rooted in contemplation and nostalgia.
Al Harthy opens the work with a quotation from philosopher Emil Cioran, a prologue that prepares readers to enter a textual world defined by brevity and depth, while re-evoking spaces and settings imbued with deep emotional resonance.
Born in the Wilayat of Al Qabil, Al Harthy previously served as a diplomat in several countries and currently lectures in law at the University of A'Sharqiyah. He is also the author of a scholarly work titled "The International Repercussions of the Iranian Nuclear File."
