Muscat: The activities of the 5th International Forum for the Educational Management and Leadership Research Group commenced today at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) under the patronage of Dr. Jokha Abdullah Al Shukaili, CEO of Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Educational Quality Assurance.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum, titled ‘Reshaping Education for a Sustainable Future with Innovative and Inspirational Leadership,’ is set to discuss 282 working papers and research papers. The event is a collaborative effort involving Sultan Qaboos University, the Ministry of Education represented by the Directorate General of Curriculum Development and the Directorate General of Educational Supervision, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation represented by the Directorate General of Universities and Private Colleges.

The forum features participation from researchers and speakers spanning 17 countries. It aims to reassess the role and structure of education in the face of swift global changes. The focal point is on transforming education to better prepare future generations, making it more sustainable and innovative. This transformation is targeted through the enhancement of educational leadership, digital innovation, and learning sustainability, aligning with ‘Oman Vision 2040’ and the Sustainable Development Goals.
