A’Dhahirah: Local honey production in the wilayats of A’Dhahirah Governorate exceeded 41 tons in 2024, with an estimated market value of over RO 615,000.
According to Oman News Agency, data from the Directorate General of Agricultural Wealth and Water Resources in A’Dhahirah shows that the number of registered beekeepers reached 992 by the end of 2024, managing a total of 23,680 beehives.
The governorate is characterized by its rich vegetation, including sidr and samar trees, which make it an ideal region for honey production.
A’Dhahirah’s honey products include sidr honey, samar honey, comb honey, pollen grains, and various medicinal honey derivatives.
