147 School Students Showcase Talent in National Innovation Championship in Petra

Petra: The National Robotics and Innovation Championship recently took place in Petra, where 147 school students participated, forming 54 teams from different education directorates. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Petra and Southern Mazar education directorates, with the aim of fostering innovation and enhancing students' skills in technology and artificial intelligence.

According to Jordan News Agency, the championship's opening ceremony was held at the historic tourist village in Petra. Participants competed in two primary categories: Innovation, where they presented technological projects and prototypes designed to benefit the community, and Line Follower technology, which tested their programming and control skills.

Deputizing for the Minister of Education, Dr. Azmi Mahafzeh, the Director of Education for Petra District, Tahani Salamin, emphasized the championship's role in developing students' future capabilities. Salamin encouraged support for creativity and innovation to cultivate a generation capable of competing in technological fields.

The event concluded with a ceremony in Treasury Square within the ancient city, where results were announced, and awards were distributed. The winning teams were honored in the presence of participants and official delegations.
