“Whichever kind of Russian … make them go to Russia,” urged Zelensky in an interview with WaPo Monday, stating Russians should “live in their own world” while calling for a year-long prohibition on travel and a strengthening of ‘weak” sanctions by the West.

The call for collective punishment was backed by Estonian PM, Kaja Kallas, tweeting Tuesday “Visiting Europe is a privilege…Time to end tourism from Russia now”.

Kremlin spox Dmitry Peskov called for a return to “common sense” reminding leaders that “similar statements were made from the center of Europe 80 years ago”.
