Cologne, The German authorities have evacuated
about 10,000 people from their homes in Cologne after they found an
unexploded World War II bomb.
The German news agency said the evacuation had begun but was
moving slowly, but a spokesman for the city of Cologne did not say
when the bomb would be defused.
City authorities said in a press release that among the evacuated
homes were refugee centers and homes for the elderly.
