Paris, An international conference on oceans and

climate change will be organized in Paris on September 10th.

UNESCO said in a statement published on its website that the

conference is part of the preparations to launch the United Nations

Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).

UNESCO affirmed that the conference aims to accelerate scientific

progress on the patterns of interaction between oceans and climate

and to assess the latest trends in the ocean and climate in light of the

increasing actions on the oceans.

The four-session conference will bring together multidisciplinary

scientists, civil society representatives, companies, decision-makers

and United Nations bodies to share their experiences on oceans and

climate issues.
