New York, The heads of the United Nations (UN) and international aid groups have appealed for more humanitarian funding for Afghanistan in a joint statement.

They also pledged to stay and deliver, warning that they are $800m (£584m) short of what is needed.

The United Kingdom (UK) has said it would double its aid to Afghanistan to £286 million in 2021.
