Turkey’s Antalya hosts 12 million foreign tourists in the first eight months of this year

Antalya province in southwestern Turkey, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, hosted 12 million foreign tourists during the first eight months of this year.

A report by the Professional Association of Hotel Managers stated today, Friday, that Russians, Germans and British topped the list of tourists who visited Antalya between January 1 and August 31 of this year.

The Head of the Professional Association / Hakan Saatcioglu / confirmed that the plans of officials in Antalya province aim to host 17 million foreign tourists during the current year.

Saatçioglu explained that the number of Russian tourists in Antalya during the first 8 months of this year reached 2,641,849, Germans 2,235,311, and British 1,109,997. He pointed out that Antalya is one of the most visited cities in the world with the beauty of its beaches, green forests and historical heritage, and attracts tourists with its small isolated bays, most of which cannot be reached by land.
