Muscat, Weather analysis in the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre indicate that a trough of low pressure will affect the northern governorates of the Sultanate, starting from tomorrow (Monday), 9 March to Tuesday, 10 March 2020.
The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said that chances of isolated rains, occasionally thundershowers, associated with fresh downdraft wind and wadis overflow expected over the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat and South A'Sharqiya.
The trough will be associated with strong northeasterly wind. Sea state will be moderate to rough with maximum wave height ranging between 2 to 3 meters along the coastal areas of Musandam and Sea of Oman. In the aftermath of the trough, a drop of temperature is expected.
PACA advices all to exercise caution while raining and overflow of wadis. Ito also advices to check the sea state before venturing into the sea.
