Baghdad The General Company for Air Navigation Services, one of the formations of the Ministry of Transport, announced today, Sunday, that three international companies have used Iraqi airspace for the first time.
The company’s general manager, Nizar Ibrahim Al-Ziyadi, said in a statement to the ministry: The company is keen on the quality of services it provides, keeping pace with current developments, and following up on modern systems related to the field of civil aviation, in an effort to attract the largest number of civil aviation companies.
Al-Zayadi added, “The Iraqi air movement at the present time is witnessing a turnout by civil aviation companies. Today, Armenian airlines joined Iraq’s skies for the first time, in addition to Oman’s Salam air and Saudi Flyadeal, given that Iraq is characterized by an important strategic location and is considered the shortest road and air corridors that connects the East to the West.”
