Muscat, An official session of talks was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today between the Sultanate and the friendly Republic of India.
The session was chaired from the Omani side by Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs whilst it was led from the Indian side by Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, who is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate.
The two sides reviewed the strong bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in a manner that serves the joint interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
On the sidelines of the session, an agreement was signed between the two countries in the field of marine transport and ports.
The session was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs and the Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate.
