Muscat, The delegation of the British House of Lords concluded its

official visit to the Sultanate at the invitation of the State Council.

The visit of the delegation, which came within the framework of enhancing the bilateral

relations between the two countries and the development of cooperation between the two

countries, included meetings with a number of officials. The delegation met with the State

Council Chairman, Chairman of Majlis A’Shura, the chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed

Forces, the Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm and Chairman of

the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa).

The delegation also met today with the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Deputy

Chairman of the Supreme Council for Planning and with Head of the Implementation

Support and Follow-up Unit.

The delegation held dialogues and discussions with members of the State Council and

Majlis A’Shura on the aspects of joint cooperation between the two councils and their

legislative and supervisory mechanisms.

The delegation was seen off at Muscat International Airport by Hon. Saleh bin Mohammed

al- Zakwani, Member of the State Council and Amjad bin Yahya al- Busaidi, Director of

Public Relations Department.
