Muscat, The water production of the Sultanate at the end of September 2018 reached 351.3 million cubic meters, an increase of 5.7% from the end of September 2017, when it was 332.3 million cubic meters, according to statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
In the Governorate of Muscat, the water production grew by 4.9% to reach 155.9 million cubic meters compared to 148.7 million cubic meters at the end of September 2017.
Water production also rose in the Governorate of Dhofar by 7.6% until the end of September 2018 to reach 46.8 million cubic meters compared to last year, when the production was 43.52 million cubic meters.
The total water production of other governorates at the end of September 2018 was 148.5 million cubic meters, a rise of 6% from the end of September 2017, when the production reached 140.1 million cubic meters.
