Muscat, The Sultanate, represented by the
Ministry of Health, will take part in the 51st Ordinary Session of the
Arab Health Ministers Council’s meeting, due to be hosted by the Arab
Republic of Egypt tomorrow (Wednesday). The Sultanate’s delegation
to the meeting will be led by Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Sa’eedi,
Minister of Health.
The meeting will touch on several health issues of the Arab
common concerns that include showcasing the successful experiences
of the member states in the health field, in addition to the proposal of
celebrating the Arab Health Day and Arab Physician Award.
The meeting will also address the Arab Authority for Blood
Transfusion Services, the unified speech of the Arab Health Ministers
Council in Geneva next May, the recommendations of the Arab Forum
on Reproductive Health and the Arab Council for Health Specialties, as
well as the Arab Center for Authorship and Translation of Health
Science.
Further, the meeting will discuss issues relating the Arab Fund
for Health Development, standardizing health legislations in the Arab
states and highlighting some projects, such as establishing the Arab
Center for Cooperation and Research on HIV/ AIDS and the Arab
Center for Medical and Laboratory Research among others.
