Muscat, The Sultanate, represented by Oman
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will host on November 5th,
activities of the 7th edition of “MADE IN QATAR” exhibition, which will
be held at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 5-day exhibition
will be organized by Qatar Chamber with participation of 200 Qatari
companies specialized in various economic sectors.
These details were unveiled during a press conference held at the
OCCI HQs’ today.
Dr. Salim bin Sulaiem al-Junaibi, OCCI Deputy Chairman said that the
Omani-Qatari relations witnessed a significant development in various
fields, especially in the economic area, in order to enhance the joint
ties between the two brotherly countries. This is evident in the
significant increase in trade volume and in the growth of joint
On his turn, Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi, Director General of Qatar
Chamber said that MADE IN QATAR exhibition is an ideal platform to
display the Qatari industries and the progress they made.
The exhibition aims to promote the Qatari industries and products
locally and globally, encourage the use of Qatari products, reduce
dependence on imports and encourage investors and entrepreneurs to
invest in industrial projects.
The exhibition is a great opportunity for companies and institutions in
the two countries to share their experiences with international
companies and open up new foreign markets to Qatari companies
through partnerships with their Omani counterparts.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Oman-Qatar Business Forum
will be held to discuss mechanisms and means of developing and
strengthening relations between the two sides and removing all
obstacles and barriers that prevent the flow of goods and investments
between the two countries.
During the press conference, a cooperation protocol was signed
between OCCI and its Qatari counterpart to activate the Omani-Qatari
