Cairo, Deliberations of the 91st session of the
Permanent Committee of the Arab Media began at the headquarters of
the Arab League today in preparation for the 49th session of the Arab
Information Ministers scheduled to be held next Wednesday.
The Sultanate was represented in the meeting by Ali bin Khalfan
al-Jabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.
The meeting discussed several items that included the media
plan to face the US unilateral decision recognising Jerusalem as the
capital of the Israeli occupation.
The meeting also discussed the new plan for Arab media
movement abroad that focuses on three themes namely the Palestinian
cause, terrorism and highlighting the accurate image of Arabs and
Muslims abroad among other topics.
