Warsaw, May 10 (ONA) — Stanislaw Karchevsky, Polish Senate
Speaker today received a delegation of the Omani-Polish Friendship
Committee of the State Council, which is currently visiting the Republic
of Poland under the chair of honourable Salim bin Ismail Suwaid, Head
of the Committee.
The Polish Senate Speaker welcomed the delegation of the
State Council, praising the relations between the Sultanate and the
Republic of Poland and the promising prospects for its development in
various fields. He also praised the role of the Omani-Polish
Parliamentary Friendship Committee in this regard.
Honourable Salim bin Ismail Suwaid stressed the keenness of the
Sultanate to strengthen relations of cooperation with the friendly
Republic of Poland. He hoped that the visit would contribute to
opening new avenues of bilateral cooperation in all fields, particularly
parliamentary fields.
The Polish-Omani Friendship Committee between the State
Council and Polish Senate, conducted a session of talks under the
chair of honourable Salim bin Ismail Suwaid and the Deputy Speaker
of the Polish Senate, in the presence of committee members from both
sides.
During the talks, the relations of cooperation between the
Sultanate and the Republic of Poland, as well as ways of developing
them were reviewed in all fields.
Honourable Salim bin Ismail Suwaid highlighted the importance
of mutual visits in deepening cooperation and sharing parliamentary
experiences between the two councils.
The delegation of the Omani-Polish Friendship Committee met
with the Deputy Speaker of the Polish House of Representatives. They
exchanged views on a range of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by members of the Omani-Polish
Friendship Committee of the State Council namely Honourable Nada
bint Hassan al-Jamaliya, Honourable Eng. Rahma bint Hamad al-
Mushrafiyeh, Honourable Dr. Saleh bin Salim al-Busaidi and Honorable
Dr. Mohammed bin Salim al-Kathairi.
